Where Is the A.V. Fair & Event Center Located?

Are Service Animals Allowed?
Service animals are welcome throughout the Fairgrounds. No other animals are permitted on the Fairgrounds. A service animal relief area is located near the livestock area.
Special Needs Seating
Tickets for guests with disabilities can be purchased on site at the wheelchair accessible ticket window, located at the Main entrance. Will Call windows are also accessible. Please identify your need for disabled seating at the time of purchase. When ordering tickets for those that use mobility aids, either at the ticket window, by phone or through avfair.com, please request seating for the disabled. One attendant or family may accompany guests with disabilities. The accompanying attendant or group must also purchase a ticket to the grandstand event.
Are there Metal Detectors at the Fair?
We have metal detectors and bag searches as you enter the Fairgrounds. Advise gate personnel if you have a pacemaker. All items deemed to be a weapon or unsafe will be confiscated
How much is parking?

Parking for Antelope Valley Fair: $10.00. Parking for all other events: $7.00. Cash only.

No in and out parking. There is no RV Parking in our main parking lot. Guests with a state disability placard or license plate may park in designated areas in any parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis. Regular parking prices still apply. Please ask a parking attendant for availability upon entering the lot. All parking lots provide parking spaces for guests with disabilities.

Where is parking for the disabled?
Parking for disabled/handicapped is in Lot A. Enter Gate 1 to get to Lot A.
Where is the RV park?
The RV Park is located at the North end of the Fairgrounds on W. Ave. G-8. Enter Gate 5. RV Parking is not available in the month of August during our annual Fair (8-19 to 8-28-2016)
Emergency evacuations
In the event of an emergency, information will be announced by the Voice of the Fairmont site Sheriffs and Antelope Valley Fair Security are trained in evacuation procedures.
Is the A.V. Fair & Event Center in compliance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA)?
All buildings are ADA accessible.
Where are the automated teller machines (ATMs) located?
Approximately 8 ATMS located in Carnival areas, 2 ATMS at the Corona Cantina and 5 ATMS at the Main Gate. Any problems with Fair ATMS call Fair Security. Problems with Carnival ATMs are handled by RCS Guest Services. Cash Machines are mobility aid-accessible.
Where are the restrooms?
Restrooms are available in the blue portables located throughout the grounds and in the H.W. Hunter & Van Dam Pavilions as well as the L.A. County Farm Bureau Legacy Hall and the Antelope Valley Harley Davidson Community Hall buildings located in Heritage Park.

Where are diaper changing stations?
Diaper changing stations are located in all permanent bathrooms on the grounds.
Are restrooms wheelchair accessible?
Wheelchair accessible stalls built to accommodate those using mobility aids are available throughout the Fairgrounds. They are marked with the universal disability symbol. Trash cans are available inside the wheelchair accessible stalls for your convenience
Where are the drinking fountains?
Drinking fountains are in the Van Dam and H.W. Hunter pavilions, at the restroom foyer.
Where are shade structures located?
KTPI Country Corral (located just north of the Lilac Lawn), A.V. Veterinary Center/Mingles (just North of the Main Entrance),Corona Cantina (west of the Miller Lite Grandstand Arena), Vallarta Supermarkets Variety Stage (located in the Poppy Lawn), and Camacho Auto Sales Community Stage (located in Heritage Park)
Are all fair buildings air conditioned?
All permanent buildings are air conditioned.
Where are electric outlets?
Electric outlets for recharging wheelchairs and other necessary equipment are located on the East end of the Van Dam pavilion near the main entrance.
Are there lockers?
There are no lockers for the public on the fairgrounds.
Public transportation
There is an Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA) bus stop right outside of the Turf Club Building at Gate 2 on Ave. H. Another stop is across the street. Call AVTA at 661-945-9445.

Professional photographers MUST have a credential from the Fair Marketing Department, located in the Fair Administration Office (North end of the Turf Club building – 2551 W. Ave. H., Ste. 102, Lancaster, CA 93536). Same applies for serious amateur photographer using professional style equipment.

Is smoking allowed on the fairgrounds?
Smoking is prohibited in the livestock and carnival areas and inside of all buildings.
