Who We Are
In November of 2011, with the help of Assemblyman Steve Knight and Senator George Runner the Antelope Valley Fair Joint Powers of Authority (JPA) was established. This new entity allows the AV Fair to operate free of the constraints created by state bureaucracy. The goal in forming a JPA with closer ties to local government, is to enable the AV Fair to operate more efficiently and with greater flexibility. In this transition, the Fair has come full circle, becoming The Antelope Valley Fair Association, a non-profit 501 (c) (4), once again returning the Fair to the community. This endeavor has changed the face of California Fairs, helping to move them into a successful future.
The Joint Powers Authority (JPA) Board of Directors meet on the 4th Thursday of every month (with the exception of holidays) at 1:30pm in the A.V. Fair Administration office (2551 W. Ave. H., Ste. 102, Lancaster, CA 93536). Should you have a question regarding the meeting time, call the Admin. office at (661) 948-6060, M-F, 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. (excluding holidays).
