Located just off of the 14 freeway on 134 acres of land at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds. The annual Antelope Valley Fair & Alfalfa Festival is an 11-day celebration that begins August 22 - Sept. 1, 2008. Events include top-name concerts, exhibits, motorized events, bull riding, carnival rides, great food, free grounds entertainment and more!
The Antelope Valley Fair & Alfalfa Festival has been part of the Antelope Valley for 70 years. Traditional events like the Rural Olympics, Jr. Livestock Auction and Home Arts exhibit competitions continue to involve the community in one of a kind, fun events.

Barns close at 10pm. All buildings CLOSE nightly at 11pm (except on 9/1, closes at 10pm)

Miller Lite Grandstand Arena opens approximately one hour prior to showtime for people with special needs.
Wristbands will be available at any carnival ticket booth for $25.00 on weekdays, and $30 on Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day Monday. The only exceptions are Sunday, August 24 and Friday, August 29, which are our special Pay-One-Price at the Gate days.

$15 includes 1 admission, 1 unlimited carnival ride wristband & grandstand events.
(Concert 8/24 & Fig. 8 Race 8/29). Tickets can be purchased in advance and on-line.
Pre-sale carnival rides wristbands are NOT valid on these dates.
Kid’s Day - Tuesday, August 26
FREE admission for kids 11 years old & younger. Opens at 4:00 pm.
Senior Day - Tuesday, August 26
FREE for seniors aged 62 & older. Fairgrounds open at 2:00 pm for seniors, 4:00 pm
for public. FREE lunch 2-3:30 or while supplies last. Health screenings, speakers, vendors by High Desert Medical Group, 2-5pm.
Special-Needs Citizens Day - Tuesday, August 26
FREE for special citizens. Fairgrounds open at 2:00 pm for special-needs citizens and
one caregiver, 4:00 pm for public. FREE lunch 2-3:30 or while supplies last.
FREE Entertainment - Thursday, August 28
Admission is FREE between 4pm and 6pm courtesy of Wal-Mart & Sam’s Club and includes the “Weird Al” show. After 6pm, admission is $8 (and includes the “Weird Al” show).
