ANTELOPE VALLEY FAIRGROUNDS ANNOUNCES LATINO CONCERT CHANGE

Chuy Lizárraga y su banda Tierra Sinaloense join Espinoza Paz as AV Fair Latino Concert Headliner

LANCASTER, CA. AV Fair officials announced, today, that Chuy Lizárraga y su banda Tierra Sinaloense will replace Los Horoscopos de Durango as the opening Latino act for headliner Espinoza Paz. Although sharing a surname to the famous Lizárragas of Banda el Recodo and El Original el Limón, his only connection to them was his birth in the Mexican State of Sinaloa. Sinaloa is known, culturally, for a style of music called banda. So, with the Sinaloense spirit in his blood, Lizárraga worked to build his own career and reputation. He earned the moniker "happy face" through his work with various groups: Banda Pillos, Sensación de Coyotitán, Banda Aramburos de Limón, Limón de los Peraza, La Original Banda El Limón and Banda de San José de Mesillas. In 2004, Lizárraga went solo and formed his own band, Tierra Sinaloense. Four albums later and singles like La Peinada, Quédate Conmigo and Como Burro Sin Mecate have established him and his group as a genuine Sinaloense banda. Today, his signing with Disa Records, Mexico’s second-largest regional Music label has significantly broadened Lizárraga’s fan base.

Lizárraga opens for Regional Mexican Airplay "Male Artist of the Year", Espinoza Paz. Paz, a fellow artist from Sinaloa, will also perform the lively, yet soothing sounds of Latino music, Sinaloense style. Recently tabbed "Singer/Songwriter of the Year" at the Latin Billboard Awards, Paz was announced as a Fair headline act, earlier this year.

Both acts are sponsored by Vallarta Supermarkets and will perform on Sunday August 22nd at 6pm. Dis-counted Pre-sale Tickets (‘festival’ style, first come, first seat) are on sale now, on-line at www.avfair.com or at the Fair Box Office.

As of July 30th through August 19th, all A. V. Vallarta Supermarkets will be selling $20 Pre-sale Espino-za Paz concert tickets, $6 Youth (Ages 6-11) concert/admission tickets AND $20 Pre-sale UNLIMITED carnival rides wristbands valid on Sundays, 8/22 and 8/29 only. Vallarta Supermarkets is the ONLY loca-tion where these discounted Pre-sale $20 ride wristbands will be sold. As of August 20th, Espinoza Paz tickets will be sold for $25 each on-line and on-site, August 22nd. The $25 wristbands will be sold online and on-site, 8/29/2010 and are valid 8/22, 8/26 and 8/29.
