AV Fair Exhibit Entry Deadline Extended

Online Application Deadline Extended to

July 18^th to Accommodate Flood of Exhibit Applicants

LANCASTER, CA    The Antelope Valley Fair announced today an extension on the deadline for entering exhibits in the 2009 Antelope Valley Fair and Alfalfa Festival.   Fair officials indicated that because of the exceptionally high volume of last minute entries, the application deadline would be extended, by one week, to Saturday, July 18^th.

Entry Guide Coordinator, Becky McRoberts, shared, “the new electronic exhibit entry system is fast and efficient, and but one of the new ways the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds is working with patrons and exhibitors alike, in creating a great Fair experience.  We want to be sure to give everyone the opportunity to showcase their talent, whether it’s stitching a quilt, blinging a shoe, sharing a recipe, decorating a cake, displaying a hobby or exhibiting a hand-raised steer.”

Entry fees average $1.50 and in some categories no fee is required.  Premiums vary.  Some categories with sponsored premiums have higher entry fees.  Persons living within specific geographical boundaries are eligible to enter the Antelope Valley Fair.  The electronic Entry Guide  contains a universal entry form, and other special exhibit information.  All entries are due to be submitted to the Antelope Valley Fair Entry Office by 5:00 p.m. or by midnight on-line on July 18th.
